Guitar render

I made this guitar for fun, that I can show my students what can be done with Rhinoceros.

Beetle modeling - step by step

Making of a New Beetle with Rhinoceros 4. Here are some step by step pictures (everything started with reference sketches, photos, pictures and blueprints).
This is just a model, without shaders and
textures. I will make some final renders in the future.

Signet Ring

This is the Signet ring for our family. I already made the basic shape of the ring (in Rhinoceros) and prepared it for 3D print. And than it will be caste in white gold and in the middle I will use stone called "Black coral".
At the moment I am working on a coat-of-arms (so, the lion on the render picture is only provisional and it`s made in Photoshop). For this purpose I am using interesting side about Heraldry.

Industrial silver world

The background picture was made with 3D Studio Max and rendered in V-ray. I also made some small color correction in Photoshop and for the text I used Illustrator.

The poster was made for fair which was going on in Celje (poster size 210x80 cm).

Ring

I made this visualization for my good friend Ines Kristan. Modeling was made in Rhinoceros and for rendering I used V-ray.

V-ray and glass

A few articles back, I was testing glass with V-ray. Here is another test with different setting and more glass facilities. I made a few shots with camera also, but results were much worse than visualization.

Iriver iFP-899

I was just testing modeling capabilities in Rhino 4, that`s why I didn`t use materials. It`s a great tool and I recommend it to all product designers (with V-ray or Maxwell render simulator).

...first seconds!

...a few seconds from animation, just for the feeling (great job Dusan).

Surprise flower

Life itself has always been an inspiration to us. Not only our life, but also the vital energy of other human beings surrounding us. Beside the fact that growing plants is existentially very important for people, it also fills them with enthusiasm, plants have a very calming affect on people, they produce oxygen etc.

We buy a neatly packed small pot with a seed sowed in it. The seed can be waken by removing the lid on the top of the pot. When the daylight breaks through, the story begins. That causes curiosity and interest which won’t leave us calm until the plant grows (we will curiously observe its growth every day guessing which sort of plant it is). Instructions, written on the inner site of the lid will help us grow the plant correctly (temperature, humidity, light etc…), but won’t reveal the sort of the plant.

Some people will get fond of the plant in that cycle, they will get to know it better, maybe turn their experiences over to others. Some of them will take it as a surprise, joy and a spontaneous moment. But all of them will experience a moment of anticipation and joy watching the birth of a new plant, which symbolically speaks of joy, hope and life.

Customer:
It offers a spontaneous moment of purchase to the costumer (it
breaks daily habits and an excessively planned life). Costumers interests (what did she/he actually buy) will be aroused along with pleasant feelings of anticipation and finding out which plant will grow from their pot. (first we take a guess on the appearance of petals, we wait if the flower will grow…) Our curiosity causes that we like what we do and we feel well doing it.

Producer:
According to transport, maintenance and keeping is Surprise flower a very simple product (no need of light or a big glazed window). Life expectancy is much longer than by plants in full growth, which need daylight and have to be watered regularly.

Recommendation:
It would be reasonable to use well resistant seeds of plants, which grow relatively fast. Mineral material should be added to the soil, because it is indispensable for a successful growth of plants. There is an extra ring in the pot which absorbs the moisture, but when we open it, it takes over the function to cover the soil and in that way prevents germinations of weeds.

Graveyard scene

Dusan has already set up the graveyard scene. I think that this is the final solution.
This image has also won the award at Hash contest "Anything goes".

Ladybug

I create a ladybug for the animation. For the living room and graveyard scene.
Dusan has also add bones and made test (with wings).

Graveyard

Graveyard is almost finished (only a few trifles have to be placed and Dusan Kastelic is already dealing with this).
This is also the last scene for animation (unfortunately that means that my work is almost completed).

In the future I will try to make an examination of creating animation Chicory&Coffee.

Graveyard fence

I made a graveyard fance - old and rusty.

Props for animation 2

Here are a few new props for animation Chicory & Coffee (all props are made with very small number of patches).
Right now I am modeling the last scene -
Graveyard.

Making of on 3dtotal

Chicory&Coffee article was published on 3dtotal side. You can read it on 3dtotal side (direct link to article) or you can download it in PDF format here.

Next to this I would like to thank all who visited and read the article Making of, specially to Chris Perrins (3dtotal) for publication of the article.

Another point of view

This view will be used in animation, but I don`t know yet how I will place the lights (I am still playing with them).

Bedroom

This is first test of the scene. My goal was to make a simple but at the same time, comfortable bedroom.
The render was made, only to get the impression of the place (where and how big the objects should be - lightning is not set yet).

Testing atmosphere

On this picture we were tested atmosphere (because this is just a test - some textures are in small resolution).
Because of the test HDRI environment map you can see too strong reflections, but on the final picture this will be repaired with right map and will be much better of course.
